The kind of political scams we are witnessing in Indian Politics of late makes one wonder if Politicians who cheat and swindle public money take the Indian public for granted. The present government under political compulsions at times is a silent witness to this looting of the tax payer's money and many a times is part of this. The opposition is also not clean. What happened in Karnataka politics a week back is a clear indication that whoever rules, the politician and his family make the best of out of the 5 years they are in power in ruthlessly involving in corruption.Tamil Nadu politics is another example where the present chief minister and his family within the last few years being in power have amassed wealth by way of large scale corruption. It is frustrating that the Indian democracy is grossly misused by our politicians. The recent Bihar election results is a relief. I hope that re-elected chief minister who though has tied up with a religious party would continue to do the good work.
The ruling central government and all the political leaders associated with it should do a serious introspection. Congress government has not shown the will-power to rout out corruption. Simply asking the concerned corrupt leaders to quit alone will not suffice.Serious action against these tainted politicians should be taken. The same yard stick should apply to the opposition also.
